As a photographer for over 20 years, capturing the heart of my subjects is my goal.
My motto is, "Have Camera, Will Travel!"
I will never forget that feeling in the 4th grade when I won a camera in a photography contest. I have had the fever ever since. I then became a photographer on the yearbook staff, where we had our own darkroom. I had my camera everywhere.
I had photos published when I was at Motlow Community College. Then suddenly, I found myself a band photographer. Wow, my love of music and photography exploded. I became the Dottie West Music Fest Official Photographer for several years and was honored as the 2019 DAR Award of Excellence for Outstanding Print Media for the Jackson Madison County chapter.
What sets me apart is many of my clients tell me they do not like having their photos made, and by the time our session is over, they say they loved it and felt like I captured the real "them." I am thrilled when I capture that moment in time that will end up being treasures of a lifetime. This also includes being the photographer selected for two books: Kay's Pride Cookbook by Kay Knotts Tompkins and Wild & Holy Women of the Bible by Sherry Cothran.
I am available to go to family reunions, birthday parties, band gigs, anniversary celebrations, and other special events. Aso, in my arsenal, I have a video camera, and I can go to band gigs to make you the video you need for social media for your band or your business.
In 2021 I was honored to be a photographer at the Muscle Shoals Songwriters Festival.
